From the desk of the Elder
How can I ever thank each of you enough for all your prayers during my illness. I know God is a healer! Thank you for your love, concern, visits and most of all your prayers. Keep them going!
We are praising God for the marvelous Indiana Annual Conference. Our Bishop and his wife, Bishop John and Rev. Cee, have blessed us beyond measure. The presence of the Holy Spirit has come and dwells among us. The Annual Sermon was delivered by North District's own Reverend Deborah Scott. She did an outstanding job. We are preparing now for the 4th District Planning Meeting which will be held October 23-25, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza O'Hare Hotel, Rosemont, Illinois.
The North District Planning Meeting - We need all the Stewards, Trustees, Presidents of WMS and Lay Organization, Youth Representation, and as many other members as possible. The meeting will begin with light breakfast at 8:30 AM - Business session will begin promptly at 9:30am.
Once again, Olivet brought home the trophy for the Bible Bowl. We are so proud of them. We are urging every church to prepare now to have a team in the 2009 competition.
